A nice walk and some lakes 4/10

Today my brother and I went for a hike with our dogs along the Big Thompson Bike Trail. Along the way we found a couple flocks of Yellow-rumped Warblers. All that I saw was Myrtle's or integrades between the two subspecies. We also saw the 2 Eastern Phoebes and 2 Wood Ducks.

A drive around the Cattail Pond area didn't produce anything of interest.
This afternoon I met up with Cade Cropper and we went to Duck Lake. There we had 1 Black-necked
Stilt, 12 American Avocets, and 7 Greater Yellowlegs. Also the continuing Trumpeter Swan.

We then went to Kechter Pit where we found a Snowy Egret (174). On the drive back towards Horseshoe Lake while on Timberline just south of Carpenter we saw a Swainson's Hawk (175) sitting on a telephone post.

When I got home a Western Scrub-Jay was sitting up.
